According to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) 2024 Annual Report, over 13,000 crore Indian coins are in circulation, equivalent to ₹33,300 crore rupees in value.
In 2024, the total value of coins in circulation increased by 10.4 per cent from 2023.
